The End is Nigh: The Apocalypse Triptych (Anthology)
I narrated two stories in this apocalypse-themed anthology edited by John Joseph Adams and Hugh Howey:
- Wedding Day by Jake Kerr
- Heaven is a Place on Planet X by Desirina Boskovich. You can listen to my narration of Desirina's story for free at Drabblecast.
Miriam had just finished school and was unsure where life would take her. She had always been able to see colors around other people, but that always seemed like a nuisance. When her brother comes home and asks for her help she finds herself in the big city for the first time. As she learns about her developing aura-reading abilities she uncovers a nefarious scheme to control the city's courts through the manipulation of Aura Wardens. She matches wits with the crime lord behind the scheme and overcomes a kidnapping, threats, and direct attacks to her aura. In the end, she manages to help her brother's girlfriend, to free a wrongfully imprisoned man, and also to improbably fall in love.
In a world where magical ability is possessed by all, a mysterious conspiracy is afoot unbeknownst to the peaceful nation of Anglozia.
