it's for research

There's nothing quite like Googling "women’s inferiority in the Bible" to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

I think it would feel more "warm and fuzzy" to google muslim women's inferiority in the Koran or in todays' world. In the Bible there was Judge Deborah and other women leaders....even Rahab, the prostitute, was made an upstanding women for helping the Israelites. She became one of the forerunners in the Jesus' ancestral line. Jesus is the one who asked whoever is without sin to throw the first stone at a prostitute. There was no such man there so they all left. He said that there is neither male nor female, Jew or Gentile, slave or owner in the Kingdom of God....in other words we are all equal. Now, this is in the New Testament after the advent of Christ. His advent changed the position of women I believe.

Yep, I also googled, "women's inferiority in religion" and you're absolutely right -- it's not just the Bible that has opinions on my obedience. Lots of religious works do. So, congratulations on pointing that out.

While it's great you have other examples, those seem to be exceptions to the general theme.
