Waiting at the bus stop, admiring the blackberries
I took the bus downtown last night to meet Jer. After drinks with his coworkers we headed over to the stadium to watch the Mariners play. I always feel like an interloper at events like this, particularly with baseball. I try to understand what's going on, who's doing what and why, and I'm lost.
I keep trying though. I'm stubborn like that.
Yesterday I submitted a story and received a rejection, unrelated to the submission. One step forward, one step back.

Not unlike the Mariners themselves. Sigh, maybe next year "rebuilding" will look a little better than rock bottom.
I'm with Dan -- if the players don't demonstrate that they know what they're doing, you shouldn't have to either. Besides, I go to M's games for the social and people watching aspects, it's far more entertaining. :)
We're going to try a Sounders game next, but yes, I tend to get more wrapped up in (read distracted by) the social aspects and the garlic fries than by the game itself.
