Photo editing is slow going. I've only done 3 for the store so far and I haven't uploaded them yet. Need to get my act together because I only have a week until my next (and last show).
I think after the show I can finally relax. Oh and my birthday is in a few days. Last year I forced Jer to go to a sushi restaurant and on the way home from dinner he proposed, so it was pretty memorable. This year we went to Japan and I ate sushi in a fish market.
What a strange and eventful year.

I've heard about weird reactions to raw fish but this one takes the cake. (Hope that wasn't mixing my food metaphors too badly--after all, there are fish cakes.)
He said later he did it just for the hal-i-but.
hahahahaha
I'm just getting caught up on your blog, so this is probably a belated Happy Birthday! Sounds like you had a great trip. Is it hard to get around without knowing the language? Or, did you know some?
Thanks, maya!
Navigating wasn't too bad. Almost everywhere I went had either a sign in English or a map of the area. I learned to say "thank you," "sorry," "how much is it?" and the basic question words -- and I got very good at pointing and holding up some number of fingers if I wanted to buy food. I would like to learn more words, though...
I also found a Web site that helped navigate the train schedules and transfers and did lots of research ahead of time, so that helped too. The only time I got lost I used one of my street maps to sort it out.
