Friday Night: Just Me and MS Word

Friday. You sneaked up on me, you cheeky monkey.

Tonight I need to finish a second draft of the short story I've been writing and move on to the next thing. Tomorrow I start a class on novel writing, in the afternoon I'm going to a pumpkin beer festival and the next day I'm at an all day class about novel writing, unrelated to the first one.

Can you tell what my next project is going to be?

By the way, my NaNoWriMo user name is follyblaine. You know, if you want to be buddies. And why wouldn't you? My hair smells like basil and thyme.

I went to the gym again today. But that accomplishment was slightly marred by the fact I ate a bacon cheeseburger and three truffles last night.

Let's just focus on the positive.

Think of the truffles as a preemptive reward for going to the gym.

Good luck with your novel. :3

Preemptive rewards don't seem to be too scarce around here. I'm looking at you, Friday night's apple fritter and Saturday night's Tater-Tot-Frittata. :)

Thanks for the 'good luck' wishes, E.M. I keep thinking silly thoughts like, "I don't run marathons, but when I do, I run them IN MY MIND."

Ugh. The only thing I know for sure about NaNo is that I'm going to write a lot of crap that no one will ever read. I just hope I can salvage some of it.

Those are rewards for uh...writing? :D Yes. That's it.

I wouldn't worry too much about what comes out of NaNo. I have a "novel" I wrote when I was in high school that is about 100k words. It's chillin' on my harddrive still and will probably never see the light of day. But it's good practice. Or something.
